Species: Apatania crymophila McLanchlan 1880
Larval case consists of coarse sand grains shaped into a tapered tubular structure with a slight curve. Larvae were collected in mid sized rapidly flowing streams (Smith 1984). Adults were collected from mid May to the first week of July. The latter collections occurred farther north (Smith 1984).
