Species: Ithytrichia clavata Morton 1905
The larval case is somewhat bottle-shaped and transparent. Smith (1984) found this species associated with mosses in a wide range of streams from slow moving and fast flowing as well warm and cool and clear and turbid streams. Smith (1984) reports the species as univoltine with adults collected from mid July to the first week of August.
